Egg/ embryo freezing

This is the most commonly used method of fertility sparing. The procedure takes about 10 days, during which the ovaries are stimulated, and at the end of this period the mature eggs are retrieved by puncture through the vagina under anesthesia.

This procedure only takes a few minutes and requires no hospital stay – you will be home in 2 hours’ time!

We would like to note that the stimulation will not affect either the cancer cells, or your upcoming therapy.

The harvested eggs shall be processed and frozen, then preserved in liquid nitrogen, where they will be kept until you have been cured.

This procedure is not a waste of time! 10 days is often equal to the period required to plan the upcoming surgery, the procedure for determining the stage of the disease, or the start of the upcoming radiation or chemotherapy.
